  • Meta descriptions: A meta description can give your post more exposure, Google will crawl this and rank your web page based on it. Therefore it is important to include your keywords within it so that you can make Google aware that you are relevant to what is being searched.

  1. Ideations: gather a list of ideas by researching around your keyword. What are your suggested questions on Google and can you answer them? This helps you to write content that gives you a better chance to appear in the right places.

  3. Draft: Write your first draft in the sections determined by your subheadings. This involves researching that can later be refined.

  5. Format: Using the improvements indicated in the previous step, now make the edits to improve the content. Once the content is finished it is time to format it so that it is optimised for readers and search engines.

You may have brilliant content for the main body of the post, but to rank well you still need a good heading for the post. There are a few things to keep in mind when you are writing your headline, they include the following:

  • Use numbers
  • Mention what you are offering them, do you have a free template? Or great content?
  • Tease the reader with a headline that intrigues the readers to click to read more.
