The Client

Sheepers is a small, fast-growing business that sells high-quality handmade sheepskin slippers, boots, gifts, clothing and homeware items. The business runs off an ethical ethos ensuring that the products and processes align. They do this by using off-cuts from other methods of farming, ensuring the animal handling is at a high standard and that the Gorale has a fair wage to hand make the products.

The Challenge

Sheepers approached us wanting more online sales so we had to focus on achieving more relevant traffic to their website. This is a seasonal product and therefore increasing sales all year round was a challenge. The more relevant the users are means that they are more likely to increase the conversion rates generating business. We had to optimise keywords into the Adword pay per click for adverts to be displayed to users that are searching relevant topics. The launch for this project happened sooner than planned to meet the Black Friday deadline.


Our Strategy

By understanding what a good lead is for the client, we could optimise keywords so that the advertisements popped up in relevant places on the search engine, when they are searching for relevant topics. By targeting relevant users, it increased the conversion rate because the people visiting the website were refined and more likely to generate business as it is what they are looking for.

Adwords pay per click allowed us to target the relevant keywords, displaying the website where the keywords were relevant on the search engine increasing the visibility of the company and its products.

Near the end of the project, Black Friday was approaching and therefore, we ensured that we had finished the work to launch in time for Black Friday, this boosted the sales from the start. The launch landed just as peak season was starting and therefore Sheepers saw a good sales increase.

AdWords pay per click helped to increase the awareness of the targeted clientele about the website by displaying the advertisement when the user searches for terms that are relevant to the company and its products.

The Results

By launching the PPC campaign earlier than planned, Black Friday boosted the results at the very beginning, this then led into peak season and therefore the campaign had a thriving start. As we entered the off-peak season, increases in sales for that period were also seen. The required results were achieved by optimising the AdWord keywords to target relevant users. For every 15 thousand pounds the client spent they received 100 thousand pounds back. By doing this, the ROI increased by 10 times and drove an extra 6 figures.
