The Client

The Welsh Lovespoon Centre (TWLC) sell hand carved lovespoons which is a wooden decoration that is carved as a decorative spoon displaying symbols of love. They offer personalisation through engraving, personalising the ribbon and are gifted to another person to show love or for many different occasions or celebrations.

The Challenge

TWLC originally approached us for a redevelopment of their website, they were then interested in increasing the traffic to their website. This was to increase sales and build a bigger client base by selling more products. We were to develop an SEO strategy to increase the number of relevant users coming to the website page which had an impact on the conversions because the users are more likely to purchase products following links from relevant keywords.

Our Strategy

A successful SEO strategy begins with an analysis stage with an in-depth audit. During this stage problems that may negatively impact the performance of the SEO are pulled out. Such as meta tags, the quality and quantity of content and technical issues such as broken links, page speed and backlinking. We created an action plan which can be used to improve the performance of the problematic areas found. This is done by reviewing the current keyword strategy and the competitors strategies helping to build a basis of a new keyword optimisation plan. This was implemented across the website to increase the conversion rate of users for the site. This analysis draws our attention to the recommended keywords that provide primary keywords, service keywords and content management keywords that enabled us to retarget the website keywords to reach the target audience and generate more leads and sales. To be competitive in the market we did a competitor analysis to review their backlinks allowing us to gauge how they are performing with regards to backlinks and their search engine rankings.

We faced the challenges by developing an SEO strategy that targeted keywords, this is so that the website is more accessible to the users searching for relevant subjects.
